Is this real?...I know this sounds like a crazy question, but I am a newbie and after reading this post I think it is going to be a blessing to my battery fears (those of you who read one of my other threads understand!)

I can sync my laptop and xv6700 via blue tooth? All I need to do is buy one of those usb blue tooth things and away we go?

Is that the type of blue tooth device we are talking about?

I have been contiplating buying a retractable usb for my road trips (3-4 days weekly) and think this would be far better than the usb!

Basically just use the USB at home where my wife syncs up her PDA....

Is this all true and correct in my understanding?

Sync over bluetooth is wireless, no wires, and your computer or laptop needs to have a BT card already installed in order to do this, or you'll have to add it to your PC. Otherwise, you'll need to do it via the cradle/USB.

Yeah, its possible. As long as the bluetooth dongle supports it. I got the Motorola USB bluetooth dongle that RadioShack has, and it works fine with ActiveSync, but not with WMDC which has replaced AS in Vista.

So basically, as long as you don't have Vista, its all gravy.
