How to stop butt calling?

My 6700 butt calls often. Other than using the lock feature EVERY TIME I am not using my phone - is there any other fix for this?

It's extremely annoying for people to call me telling me I've called them 5 times in the last 2 minutes.

Weird. I have to say, your 6700 might have an extra large butt. Mine doesn't call people bt mistake. Which ROM/AKU are you using?

My wife's 6700 does this ALL THE TIME. I first thought it was her. I have a 6700 and I don't believe it's happened with me - at least not this issue.

As soon as an upgrade occurs (supposedly after 14 May) we're dropping this phone like a rock.

You know, that's exactly why they added the screen / button lock.

Oh, and that May 14th date has been moved back several months. Sorry.

The one that came with the phone... Should I upgrade? Will goodlink work with newer ones?

Apparently Goodlink does not work with the 3.5 AKU. Try setting the handset to lock all buttons except power when off. And maybe get a case for the handset??

It is set that way.. I think the problem is, I can hit the power button to turn the handset display OFF, but then it will just turn back on on it's own, usually for no reason whatsoever.

O.K. then something is waking the handset up on it's own. What do you have set that might update automatically? Push email, weather panel updates, calendar reminders?

search this forum for Onlock Pro. is a program that will enable the built in lock feature automatically when the device goes off. Then when it wakes up you have to use a specified hardware button to disable it. I set it so that I have to press and hold the ok button to unlock.

I havent had a single accidental call made since installing it.

Most of us have been through this at least once. Your phone wakes up due to an incoming call, outgoing call (i.e. BT headset), alarm, email or SMS - then it can't go back to sleep because buttons keep getting pressed inside the snug-fitting case or pocket. Re-dialing the last number called was common for my phone. You need to implement the complete device-lock app, included on the Today screen of the AKU 2.2 ROM. This app essentially blocks any input when the device wakes up until you hit two keys or two screen buttons in sequence. There is at least one supplemental app that eliminates the screen tap requirement. Link below. This may or may not be the one that Colonel has included in his ROMs, but I think the functionality is the same. Good luck.

never tried mortsaver, but I may look into it. OnLock works very well, but the setup page requires .net2.0.
