Which rom works for DUN, least amount of junk and most stable?

I am looking for a rom that:

Runs DUN (bluetooth tethering)

comes stripped of all the crap they put on our phones

is stable; seems like there are a lot of random errors in the 3.5 roms.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I installed colonels 3.5 final rom last night only to realize that DUN doesnt work

I have a car pc, and absolutely have to have DUN. The upgraded rom is nice, sped things up a bit, but losing DUN isnt worth it. The other issue I was having (network based I assume) wasnt resolved either.

As such, I would also like to know which rom has working DUN...

Did you try the "internet sharing" app?
Also, do you have an integrated carputer or a computer in your car?

I haven't tried it.

Right now I use a front end that is able to use preset dial up connections created in windows. Before, all I had to do was point it to the bluetooth DUN connection, and it would automatically connect itself when needed in the background. Will internet connection sharing give me the same thing? I currently leave my phone in my pocket and am able to access my contacts, all of the calls placed, as well as sending and recieving phone calls, etc.

I installed the car computer myself, but it is about as integrated as they come.

Wow man, sweet install! Try the internet sharing app. That seems to be the replacement app for AKU 3.5.

I just went out to the car to play with PAN. As I guessed, this isn't going to work with my current setup. If I change to the broadcomm stack, ill lose my phonecontrol capabilities.

Are there any 3.x roms with DUN? I like the improvements in 3.5... bluetooth seems to work better for the most part, but the lack of DUN kills that. I use DUN all the time and can't live with PAN with my current setup.

PAN just isnt as convinient as DUN was. Is AKU 2.2 my best option then?

Yes, all 3.x roms have PAN instead of DUN. There are third party apps that seem to work for tethering as well.

BT tethering I assume?

Anything worth looking into? It needs to be able to work just as BT DUN did, or else my front end wont be able to connect to the phone and dial. :-/

Thanks for the help so far guys!
