I just got my phone tonight so I am completely stoked....trying to read the manual before I start on all the posts...but ran in to a snag..

Its not there!

do you mean the comm mgr on the phone? it should be a litle circle looking icon on the bottom right of the today screen. if not,l look in y our programs folder and you will see it there...

while i have your attention, let me ask some questions...

is this a NEW phone? refurb?

is it from a verizon store? or is it from fleabay?

if from fleabay, what was the description of it from the seller?

have you loaded anything onto the phone?

did you do a complete hard reset (by complete i mean you went thru the screen align mode and the cut/paste tutorial)

what is your ROM version? it appears when the splash screen comes up?

I am so glad you asked...I have be reading this forum for almost 2 1/2 hours and just drowning...i tried finding a newbie post to kinda slowly bring you in but no luck...I am more moderate on PC's but this PPC thing is all new!

in this thread is a code that will tell you if the phone is a refurb or not as well as some other codes you may find interesting. note the verizon are entered differently.. the last post should explain that...

the splash screen is what pops
up when the phone is first turned on. that shows your ROMs info and other stuff...


so its a refurb but fresh out of the box? thats means its been used. fresh out of the box is a seller term that means nothing. those pound codes should help you know more about your phone and its history before you got a hold of it...
