Yes, Activesync looks to be gone in Vista- I was just forced to upgrade on a new computer. That is the only good news. It is replaced by this piece of SHI* software called "Windows Mobile Device Center".
Watch out!
When I set up my machine I did not get the option of replacing contact etc. with what was on the machine, so I have duplicate contacts and appointments. I will have to reset the PDA, get the backup files, and write over my pst file, if I can find the registry settings (hope they are the same as XP).
Plus this junkware does not show what is happening during the sync and it still drops connections.
