Problem with ActiveSync 4.5
I thought I would share this to spare others the frustration...
In the vain hope that ActiveSync 4.5 would resolve intermittent connection problems between my PPC-6700 and desktop, I downloaded it and installed it yesterday. After re-pairing the device, everything worked as before (including the intermittent connection problem which is alive and well), except for my Exchange Server synchronization. What I got was "The server could not be reached. This can be caused by temporary network conditions." and "Support Code: 85002003".
It turns out that ActiveSync 4.5 doesn't properly detect the network state. Under "File | Connection Settings...", set "This computer is connected to:" to "The Internet" rather than "Automatic".
