Anyone use the Jabra 500V headset with the 6700?

I've been using a Motorola H500 and it worked pretty well up until the point I lost it somewhere - I'm now in the market for a new headset. In the mean time, I found an old Jabra 250 and started using that until I can get a better headset again. I've noticed it seems more receptive to Microsoft's Voice command software and the range was much better.

I was wondering how well the new Jabra 500V works...

Im also using the Jabra BT500. You have to use the bigger ear piece when your in your car, but if your just walking around or at home the smaller piece will work. But if your in a crowd, forget it, b/c even the bigger piece doesnt work that well to allow you to hear. Overall though i love this headset, and may upgrade to the 500v if there is a volume increase.

I went from the HS500 to the BT500v and got rid of it very quickly. The sounds quality was horrible and people had the hardest time hearing me. nuprotocol nailed it on the head with being in a crowd, forget about it...

I purchased the Plantronic 510 and then the updated 510 with the built in noise cancellation and it has been rock solid ever since. There are time that I actually have to turn down the volume when I'm using it.

I picked up the Jabra this evening and it's charging now...I'm going to try it in a couple of hours and use it for a few days. If it doesn't work I'm returning it to Verizon under thier 15 period.

I've been looking at Jabra's website and they have a new headset coming out that has noise filtering technology - the BT 8010. I'm trying to decide if I should on that or go with the Jawbone instead.

I'll post on here what I find with the BT 500V.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Hm, nevermind! The volume isn't low...it seems my ear piece was in sideways *face embarrassed*

Thanks for the advice nuprotocol! I just put in the larger ear piece and the volume increase is wonderful

I returned the Jabra yesterday -- people were complaining there was an echo coming from it and I noticed that it had trouble with digit dialing if I was in the car with the radio turned down- I would tell it call xxx-xxx-xxxx and it would say "ringer off" or give me a wrong number. The sound quality was pretty good though and it fit comfortably. I also did like the vibrate feature.

I think I'm going hold off and wait for the Jabra 8010 to come out and see how that works. If not then I may try a Plantronics -- what I wish is that there was bluetooth headset with a long boom mic on it.
