How to disable Storage Card movement powering on device?

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I have a Seidio PPC6700 holster. Often when I am removing/inserting the XV6700 from/into the holster, the top clip seems to move the Storage Card just enough that it causes the device to power on. It doesn't move it enough to cause it to be ejected, but apparently just enough that the device does power on. Does anyone know a registry setting that I can disable the Storage Card change causing a power up? I wouldn't even mind just disabling Storage Card change notifications all together. I barely use the one I have now.

The reason I ask is that, I have noticed under the new ROM that whenever a reminder goes off (vibrate, sound) and it is in my holster, upon taking it out of the holster, many times I notice the reminder notification window at the bottom of the screen is just being closed. I barely see it as it is being closed. Plus, the soft key does not change to a notification label, so that I can re-display the notification window. I was under the impression the software was screwed up, so last night I performed a hard reset. After reinstalling my 3rd party software (SPB Pocket Plus, Resco Explorer, SKTools, PIEPlus, Softick Card Export) my very first notification this morning exhibited this same behavior. The thing with the 3rd party software though, is that this lineup is exactly the same as what I was running under the older ROM, without problems.

If anyone has insight into this issue, please let me know. I have searched the forum and others had this issue, but I have not read a conclusive solution to the problem. Only speculation and it seems something different worked for each individual.

Thanks.

Have you tried some tape? I know I know, tacky...but worth a try. If that still doesn't work, insurance replacement?

Mine is so tight inside of the slot it takes some muscle to get it out...(no pun intended)

I rely on that feature to bring my XV6700 up on those not-so-rare occasions when the ON button seems to be locked, disabled, or whatever. I have no clue what's causing the problem. At first I was doing soft resets, but I find that briefly popping the memory card out then un brings the unit right up.

As for tight cases, I was displeased with the Fortte extended battery case... too tight, lots of problems with on/off and phone button interference. The Sena standard battery case seems to have just enough extra room to prevent accidental button pushing.

Well, I left the storage card out for a couple of days and the reminders notification window still behaved screwy, so that wasn't it. I like the Seidio holster, so I will stick with it, since contact with the memory card wasn't the problem.
