Exclamation Sprint PPC6700 Locked Up!!!!

I have the Sprint PPC 6700 and was installing the update for the SP2 "APA_SPCS_20600_303_12700_WWE_Ship" posted on there site, had the phone in the cradle and the DL started and the phone beeped and is now locked up in a grey sceen that says "Serial v2.02" or when connected to the cradle says "USB 2.02". The phone now has no lights and I am unable to reboot hard or soft. I have tried to unistall the battery and do a hard boot. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It sounds like your phone went into bootloader mode...

Do the ROM update again. Then hard reset.

I cant not get the 6700 to be recongnized by the computer and it wont hard reboot. It seems to be locked in Bootloader mode. I have tried to do the soft+record+ie+hard reset and still not connecting. I have even tried it on my laptop and it wont recognize the 6700 either.

Thanks for the continued help!

Just try running the ROM update anyway. active sync does not need to recognize it.

Never heard of that type of reset?????

Hard reset:
1. depress both softkeys (dashes next to the Windows and OK keys)
2. while depressing, insert your stylus into the hole next to the USB port

Bootloader mode:
1. depress the power and notes key
2. while depressing, insert your stylus into the hole next to the USB port

Perform the hard reset first, then try upgrading again. Also, it is recommended that you not upgrade your ROM while cradled...just plug the USB cable directly from your computer into your PPC.

Let us know if that works out for you.

Not sure where the solution is at that link, but if conventional methods dont work I was going to suggest using mtty.exe.

*edit* There is a better utility to use than mtty. I attached it here for you.
