headset jack won't disengage
I have a Verizon xv6700 and my problem is this:
I was using a wired headset in the headset jack, and perhaps something happened when I removed it this last time, and now the phone doesn't recognize that the headset isn't connected. So, I can't hear anything on the phone now, I can't put it on speaker phone. To try to fix it, I have reset the phone, I have removed the battery, restarted it, I have reinserted and removed the headset jack numberous times -- nothing has helped. If I reconnect the headset to the headset jack, I can hear and speak through the headset still, but this problem has now caused obvious limitations in how I use my phone to make calls from now on.
So, if anyone has any idea how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. Or, I would be content if someone who is more familiar with the registry can figure out if there is a way that I can make it so that the headset jack is disabled so that I can make calls normally. Or maybe there is a way to make it so that it doesn't mute and disengage the normal speaker and mic on the phone when it believes that the headset is engaged.
Anyone -- HELP.
