Looks like they moved the FTP directories at PPCGeeks. I just installed this ROM on my 6700 which is going to my wife's now since I'm getting the 6800. Its pretty solid so far.

dmack: Is the 6800 coming with WM6 or just WM5 and upgrade to follow as per Engadget?
Be sure to let us know your thoughts after a hands on.
Thanks,
Bob Duckworth

The 6800 has WM6. That was decided by Sprint back in April and that's what delayed the release date for the device.

Yes, Goodlink has had problems with these custom ROM's. Last I saw, there was some success with a recently finished custom ROM and the newest version of Goodlink, but I don't know that it has been confirmed.
Anyone have confirmation on a Goodlink/ROM version combo that works properly?
Can you please remove "1-Calc Lite" from your ROM image? This software is not freeware but it commerical software. If you need the 1-Calc product, please purchase it from Omega One | Mobile Solutions
I am a user of these ROMs. I have never made nor distributed one. The one I use does not have your software. I am pretty sure when these ROMs include commercial software, what they do is to include the trialware version, so that users may then just plug in their key. The trialware version will stop working after a certin number of uses or days (or whatever) just as if the user downloaded it from the manufaccturer's website and installed it himself.
The ROM in question includes a fully unlocked version of 1-Calc Lite. This is simply a matter of confusion. We allowed Microsoft to "give away" copies for 1-Calc Lite for a limited time last year for a fixed fee, and hence users feel that this software is freeware. I'm just trying to clear up that the software which was included in this ROM (linked at the start of this thread) is not freeware (which the person who made the ROM was probably unaware of) and shouldn't be used as it's a full version of a product which is normally sold.
The latest version of the "Clean & Simple ROM" does not include 1-Calc lite.
According to a post by the person who "cooked" it, "Oh, I'm taking out 1Calc because having the free version in ROM makes it impossible to upgrade to the full version."
I don't like having commmercial trialware in the ROMs I use because it may also prevent an upgrade. The Clean & Simple ones had the fewest of any.
I think the 1-Calc Lite was in an earlier ROM based on a "kitchen" that was "pre-release" and had problems. I doubt that anyone will still install it as it had problems and there is a better version available.
anybody having issues with listening to audio through the BT? i upgraded today to 3.5 from the most recent verizon ROM update and it's so much cleaner. however, the audio will not stream to my plantronics 640 for more than 5 seconds or so, then it goes back to the speaker.
I'm having some strange Internet Sharing issues. Maybe someone can help me here. I've got my USB-PC connections setup for serial. (ie Enable advanced network functionality is disabled). I've had it both turned on and off and have the exact same problem.
When I use Internet Sharing and tell it to use Bluetooth and then connect to it using bluetooth PAN everything works just fine. I'm able to hook up to the net through the phone and do my thing. But USB doesn't work.
For the longest time my windows box was just getting a 169.x.x.x IP. I've now got things getting a 192.168.1.x address and when I got into network interfaces and look at Remote-NDIS interface I have it setup for automatic and I see that it grabs a 192.168.1.1 IP and this is the IP that my windows station has defined automatically as a gateway address. (this all seems wonderful to me). But when I check the status of the connection it says that I only have "Local" access on IPv4. So it seems that its all 100% there but its not actually forwarding the laptop's requests out to the net. Windows does detect it as a windows mobile network card though.
From what I've read online people have had problems getting Bluetooth working but not the USB method. I'd much rather have it working over USB as its usually quite a lot faster that way!
When I do a speed test using a browser on the phone I usually see things around 500K/sec. But when I use the laptop connected via Bluetooth I only see 190kbit or so. Before upgrading to AKU3.5 I was able to get the full speeds through to the laptop when using USB (but not bluetooth).
Any assistance GREATLY appreciated as I could use the added speed to get some work done!

hello everyone, newbie here. the link posted above seems to be dead. are there any others?
I also was looling for the rom and found the links here to be dead. If you do some research on google you can find it here but will have to register to get it.
On a side note, I did the upgrade and had absoluely no issues or errors. I did see that I could not access my contacts like some others here but after doing the hard reset the correct way I was then able to ge that screen to load.
I notice there are a few icons in the programs folder that were invalid and after the correct hard reset, they are no longer there. Ive got 36.34mb free at this point. THX to everyone here for sharing pros/cons as well as issues and resolutions.
{EDIT}
I did another phone and had no issues getting it updated as well. THX again everyone.
I have installed the Clean and Simple AKU 3.5 and everything works fine ... except I cannot get Voice command 1.5 to work. It loads fine, but when I activate it, it give me an error saying that VC encountered a problem, please restart and try again.
I have flashed the ROM several times but still can not get it to work.
any common occurrences of DSOD with low battery? my clean and simple 3.5 has been incredibly fast and solid except for a DSOD every 2-3 days. kind of annoying, especially when i am on 24/7 on call . . .
