I just tried this on my PPC-6700 and step 4 doesn't work. After the flash, the phone won't wake. I can hard reset and switch to bootloader mode, but the phone won't boot up. Anyone had this problem?

Just updated my 6700 to this ROM. Everyone seems to work well, no problems so far except for skipping in A2DP. I've been trying to find a cure for the skipping, I've come across regkey hacks but I think they're for the windcomm stack? I assume that's different from the AKU3.5 stack? Don't want to hijack this thread, but any links or tips to alleviate the skipping would be great.

Thanks.

I hope you can keep "Clear Storage". By hard reset I have to open keyboard and press "Y" that is inconvenience as my 6700 is always in case.I don't use keyboard.

I think I can answer my own question- after the rom update my extrom should be intact- that is where the sprint customization will come from- am I correct?

thanks jeff

thank you very much for the aku3.5. i originally installed your stock for any apache. i noticed i have 36mb available in storage. i have 28mb free in program. i notice i still have clear storage in programs. does this sound about right? after i did the hard reset, i went thru the setup routine with the screen adjustment and so on. and then i did the bootloader after it completed its routine.

would i have more space if i were to install the aku with 'no junk'? i have verizon.
thanks in advance.

Reassigning Buttons

The only thing I couldn't do was reassign buttons (like the "Notes" button ... I want to be Messaging"). I still could not do it with SK-Tools....

One other thing of note. If you enable the extended ROM access without FIRST installing Pocket Informant, PI won't install. Haven't figured that one out yet either.

Kirvin be da man though!

Did you hard-reset after installing the ROM - if not, you need to and your contacts should work.

Hey Jeff... it's working great on my Alltel PPC-6700 except for one thing... the notorious Pictures and Videos freezeup. On previous ROMs I was able to overwrite the mfc80u.dll and msvcr80.dll files with the ones in the Windows/OEM directory, but there is no OEM dir in this ROM. Is this a reported problem with this ROM? And if this is the fix, does anyone have the DLLs that do work?

Otherwise, as I said... fantastic.

when i completed the update this came up

sddaemon.exe
the file 'sddaemon; cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.

and does anybody have a screen shot of the updated screen on the phone??

it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh snap I got the same sddaemon error also. I did this upgrade about 2 weeks ago but my phone was flaking on me so I called Verizon. They sent me new phone (this is the one I'm trying to upgrade now).

Why would I get the problem now but not 2 weeks ago?

Please help.

Fixed it!
Just do a clear storage reset (hold the 2 soft keys while resetting and pressing Y when it asks you). When it reset, no more error.
