Issues with Voice Command 1.6 & BTH?
Does anyone else have major issues with Voice Command 1.6 and their BTH headset? I have the XV6700 which I purchased Dec. 31, 2006. It was replaced about a month later (about Feb. 1, 2007) with a new one because my phone button did not work all of the time. Anyway I had also purchased a Motorla H500 BTH headset with it so I could talk hands free, only to find the voice dialing software to be less than good. I then purchased Voice Command 1.6 thinking it would provide the answer to my hands free desire. At first it worked pretty good, but caller ID would annoyingly only work through my speaker and yet my calendar notices would come through my headset. This seemed minor because the voice dailing feature worked very well with close to perfect voice recognition. This was true for about two weeks then the voice recongnition started only working part of the time and now I can no longer use it to call out and I can only receive calls with my BTH ear piece sometimes and that may have stopped working today as well. I have removed and reloaded the software this evening with no luck. I have read enough to know that part of my problem has to do with the Mobile 5.0 build version that I have which is 14928.2.2.0. according to microsoft www.Microsoft.com/voicecommand. Per Microsoft I need to have a build of 15097.3.0.0. or higher. This will correct the way Voice Command 1.6 works. I'm not sure that is my only problem though. I don't know what to do about what may also be a BTH headset problem. Per what I've read it seems as though I may have problems with both. Is there a way to upgrade 5.0 and is there any way to make all of this work better? I've read about some registry patches for the BTH, but I'm not sure they were for the XV6700. Can any of you wizards provide me some help on this?
