Magic Button vs. WisBar Lite

What are the pros and cons of Magic Button versus WisBar Lite (other than cost -- I have an unused WisBar Advanced licensed so WisBar Lite is free for me).

Does Magic Button allow the hardware OK button to be changed to close (instead of minimizing) an application or does it only allow that for the title bar X (as WisBar Lite does)? If it allowed to map the OK button to an absolute close, that would be a difference (enougth that I'd switch to it), but other than that, (without trying Magic Button) they look pretty much the same.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this subject. Thanks.

When I was using Magic Button on my 6600 it would somehow make my phone stop working. I would go to start my phone by pushing the green button and it wouldn't start. I uninstalled Magic Button and it stopped happening. I never tried MB on my 6700, so can't tell you how it works. I use Wisbar Lite and it's great!

Thanks. My main issue with WisBar Lite is that it doesn't let you map the OK button to a real close (I am used to doing this with Spb Pocketplus which I am no longer using since I am using the 02 shortcuts contained in Colonel's 3.5 custom ROM).

I use MB all the time. Based on the WisBar Lite website I'd say it is slightly better in terms of features. Not a lot of a difference but if you have a free license I'd go with WBL, but for someone who does not I wouldn't bother paying.

It seems to me that Ok/Close is really Ok/Minimize -- it doesn't really close the programs (they are still alive in the task panel).

Scroll down more when assigning the OK button. There is an option to assign it to CloseOK.

I tried magic button recently. After installing it, I could no longer receive email. It stopped my email program. I uninstalled it and my email worked fine.

I use vBar. Works just as good as the two you mentioned, and it's free.
