MMS Messaging XV6700

Ok, I love this forum, and I've gotten many answers through the search, but I haven't really seen a definitive answer on the trouble I'm having with MMS messaging.

1st - Is there any way to pull up the contacts in the MMS messaging, I haven't figured out anyway but to put in the receivers phone number.

2nd - Sending and Receiving. Sometimes I'll get a notification that I'm receiving a new MMS message, but my phone will never download it. Sending sometimes will go into the outbox, but never send...

I'm getting a little frustrated on it, b/c I tend to get like 10-15 messages a day, and my phone will only download maybe 3 or 4

Clicking on the to box or type the name in the to line will call up contacts.

Typing in the name on my phone does not bring up the contacts.... Nor does clicking on the box...

In MMS you can't just start typing names, that only works in Text messaging. If you click on To:, not the empty field, but on the actual To: it'll bring up your contacts.

There should be an option in MMS settings to automatically download messages, not too sure where it is though....

I have had the XV6700 for a couple of months now and have had the same problem.. When I would attempt to send an MMS message I would receive an error saying that the Message Failed--Retry Now/Retry Later..

I just called text support and got it working by doing an over-the-air software update...by dialing *22899 <send>

Also, as some of the other posters have noted--when selecting a recipient for an MMS msg--you have to tap the "To" to access your Contacts..not the empty field --but actually tap on the word "To".. For some reason it's kind of difficult.. I have to use the stylus to hit the small target, instead of my finger which I use for everything else.

Hope u get it worked out!
