Hi all, I got a htc TyTN II, the WM6 mobile remote desktop file link as referenced below was broken, could someone upload another link please? thanks in advance, Jack
{the link below is broken
Thanks to Sardinour I was able to get WM6 Mobile Remote Destkop Client to work. I extracted Sardinour's .nbf file converted it to a .nba and dumped the contents. I then was able to take the necessary and patch together the registry.
Here is a cab file so all can enjoy. Simply unzip it and install the cab file on yoru device and you will have WM6 Mobile Remote Desktop Client to use. Terminal Services will not be effected by this program, it runs independently.
Attached Files WM6 RDP-Finster.zip (298.3 KB, 58995 views) }

Autostart RDP Session
I have a question about the WM6_RDP Client. I use it on my Symbol MC70 Handheld. It works fine, but i have a additional requirement. If i start (softreset) the handheld it should automatically connect to the Terminal Server with the WM6_RDP Client. Is there any command line parameter?
Is it possible to define the connection details in a file (.rdp?) or in the registry?
Thanks for your help

What the..?
As like everyone else in here, other than those helping, I, too, am experiencing difficult RDP connections.
I'm using the Treo 700Wx - with WM5
I'm using Forticlient Mobile - with and for VPN
I'm able to establish a VPN connection; however, I cannot get the RDP client (Finster) to connect to any servers. I'm racking both my brain and that of my Engineer's. So, with that being said, any help from anyone else would be greatly appreciated. Yes, before you ask, we are using the default RDP port.
Thanks,
-G

Hello, just out of curiosity, I am running windows XP home edition which doesnt have the "host" software installed for a remote desktop connection, would this software ie. RDP for windows mobile still be able to connect to that computer?

RDP is on your Windows installation disk or you can download from Microsoft website.

Using my HTC Tilt on an ATT 3G connection, I get the Remote Desktop screen which looks like I connected and logged in to my remote computer, but I get a message that says MrvGINA.dll found on the remote computer, which is incompatible. Googled that file and found that you can delete it from your registry, so I did, but I still have the same problem.
What is that dll? What should I do?
Is there a better way to remotely control my Windows XP from my HTC Tilt?

I also have the dash, and I can do stuff with they keyboard just fine, but how to I make it so I am not just viewing the upper left corner of the screen? is there a place in the files before/after installation that I can edit anything at?
also, I have a problem the options part of the program. when I go to them it is on what color bit depth I want, I press down 2 or 3 times so that I can tab over to the sound, but I cannot get off of the tabs after I get to them so I cannot tell it not to mute. how can I fix this?

I have the same problem on my dash but I read these posts and another person said you need to have a touchscreen device to scroll around.
the only program I have used that works with the dash is called RDM+
RDM+ :: Remote Desktop for Mobiles
Thing is it's not free.

HTC touch diamond - windows mobile 6.1
Hello all,
I'm now the proud owner of a HTC Touch diamond, and as everyone in this thread I really liked the remote desktop capability of windows mobile untill microsoft removed it from the standard feature package. So I installed the "Finster-version" with nothing else than respect for the creator.
Btu it looks like it doesn't work as it should on my HTC Touch diamond (Windows Mobile 6.1). It doesn't resize the screen, you can't scroll thru the screen and regularily it crashes "tsclient.exe ended in error" or something like that.
I think that there is a difference betweem WM6 and WM6.1 that makes the WM6RDP.CAB incompatible.
I think we need to make a new version.
Is there someone who can help me and all the other WM6.1 owners?
Finster869 can you help us ????
