Well I'm not sure what else you have going on, but the only explanation that I can offer you is that the button 5 behavior doesn't manifest itself until after you soft reset. So if you install voice command button 5 will work great until you do you first soft reset, at which point it will break (and stay broken). Same with my patch... when you install it, it will not work until you soft reset (which is in the instructions). Once the device comes back from the reset button 5 can then be re-assigned to Voice Command.
Also anytime you re-install voice command the process starts over--the first time you soft reset afterwards button 5 will break again, requiring you to install the patch and soft reset in order to regain button 5's proper functionality.
How to have the Cyberon app activated by the button on my BT headset

I'm having a variant of this problem. I tried MS VC 1.6 and the damned thing doesn't understand anything I say. I do not have any kind of unusual accent, but it's less than 30% comprehension rate for the simplest of commands. Unless someone knows how to fix that (or train it on my voice?), I'd like to use the Cyberon app instead. What's the right way to have the Cyberon app activated by the button on my BT headset?
Well if you do a hard reset it should work again. If you're not willing to do that then make sure you uninstall voice command and then use a registry editor to go to the key I listed in my first post. Add the same path statement but instead of leaving it blank, put in the path \Windows\sddialer.exe
you mean the BT headset button already activates the Speed Dial app "out of the box" (by default)? Excellent. I have to hard reset anyway (something I put on is giving me freezes on wake-up). I thought having the BT button activate an app is something people were tweaking and hacking for. Thanks!!
Just wondering if anyone still has the cab that allows you to map the record button (the one with the cassette tape shown on it) to other things when you hold it down? I looked all over and also at PPCGeeks and cannot find it.
