Can't get Radio version above 1.10.00

Ive tried everything I can think of including going all the way back to the stock Verizon ROM. Ive ran the Verizon Ext_Rom apps and without. Ive run numerous version of both Helski and Colonels Roms yet still Radio ver 1.10.00 persists.

Do any of you smart folks have any other ideas to get my radio up to version 1.27.00 I see others using? What could be preventing the radio from upgrading?

Rom version: 2.11.20.wwe
Rom Date: 04/04/06
Radio Version: 1.10.00
PRL Version: 50722
PRI Version: 1.19_003

Mitch

I find it hard to imagine Im the only person who has encountered this issue. You would think at least one or two people might even have a suggestion even if it hasnt happened to them.

Wouldnt you THINK a hard reset would fix it?

Oh well...

Those cooked AKU3.3 ROMS do not include a radio ROM. The only source for that the are the Verizon/UTS download sites. Since I have Sprint, I can't tell you what the newest VZW radio ROM is, so you might have the newest already.

How did you get PRI version 1.19_003? I'm a Verizon user as well. I installed the latest Verizon firmware and AKU 3.3, but my PRI is only at 1.12_002.

What is the PRI anyway?

I've upgraded to AKU 3.3 (Waitin's current version).

Verizon XV6700 - Radio remains at stock 1.10.00

My question is what should my PRI Version be - mine is 1.09_002 which seems to be an old version. Is the PRI upgraded with the stock Verizon rom? The 1.09_002 is on a warranty replacement I recently got that had 2.07.200 rom - but I don't know what the PRI version was before upgrading to 3.3.

My previous 6700 with stock 2.07.200 had PRI 1.12_002.

Is the PRI version important, and if so, what version should I have and how is it updated?

Thanks!

You do know that you can extract Sprint's Radio ROM from their AKU 2.x Update, right?

Like some one mentioned, Sprint is up to version 1.27, while VZW is still at 1.10. I just haven't tried to load Sprint's Radio on mine. I'm wating to see if anyone else would try it before I did and if it's worth upgrading. I don't know what the improvements are from 1.1.

Anyone wanna try? I can send you the ROM if you need it.

In browsing around PPCGeeks last night, I read where the Sprint Radio on the Verizon phone was giving those who had tried it a lot of trouble - I think I read that it bricked a phone - but it was late. Anyway, search over there before attempting.

Yes, I read that, too. But the one that bricked his phone was because he used a modified Sprint Radio ROM on his.

I know I've used other carrier's Radio ROMs than the ones I had my phone with before, but that was back with the 6600. I don't know how it works now. UTStarcom's site hasn't updated the radio stack on the XV6700 either...
