Any way to lock the orientation to landscape?

I much prefer the landscape orientation for several reasons I won't bore you with. I can change it in the display settings, but as soon as I close up the phone it reverts to portrait. Any way (app, registry setting) that I can get it to stay in landscape?

I want the same thing, but I have not found any way other than using VJLumosII (xtra brightness and landscape/portrait lock). There is another thread on this http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6700-xv6700/79914-landscape-orientation-retain-after-power-off-xv6700-bounty-up-500-a.html?highlight=bounty
but I dont think there was any resolution.

There should be a way to fool the magnetic switch. Try to track down some of the people here that have opened theirs up, they may have some insight.

Ive opened mine before but what I would like to see is a program that will stop the rotation at will and the later allow it to rotate like normal. What I use this for is in TT6 the orentation is set by the device and is not in the program like TT5. I use mortscript for doing this automaticly (rotation) when the script is launched, but as soon as you slide the keybaord out and back it rotates to the portrait mode.

just want to say I started using VJLumosII as suggested by darkness 231 and I definitely think it's a serious step in the right direction. I will definitely continue using it.

The only problem w/ that is that it makes the screen super bright and drains the battery faster (has something to do w/ the camera), but I find it useful w/ TT6 because im running it on my car charger anyway.. I would like to see it w/o the super-brightness

yeah, after about a week with it, it definitely seems like it drains my standard size battery quite a bit faster. I only keep lumos on now when I'm in my office by my charger.
