Question Problem w/ Install - Please Help

Hi:

New to the XV6700 and have had no issues installing:
Pkt Breeze
iLauncher
Splash ID
Wis Bar Adv2
Pkt Quicken

All are working as advertised and things are fine. I went ahead and purchased Junni's Black and White Skin Suite and am in the process of following the detailed instructions.

However, everytime I need to copy files or folders over from my PC into the Mobile Device (no connection issues at all); I can copy them from the PC but can't paste them into the device destination. Paste is shaded out and I also cannot drag them into the destination.

I suspect this is a fairly minor issue, but I can't figure it out and would appreciate some assistance.

Also, along these lines, please confirm the 6700 is a QVGA device. Specs I see online say it is. However, Junni's instructions seem to indicate it is a non-VGA device. His description is below:

"VGA devices have a 480x640 display, and nonVGA devices have a 240x320 display."

Nomenclature aside, I should be working with the 240x320 display? Correct?

Any assistance to a gadget nut would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Technically your device is not a vga device... it is a QVGA device meaning it is a quarter vga and it is 240x320. As far as the other issue how are you trying to copy and paste? Click in the file area not the folder area.

First off, thanks for the response - I appreciate the help.

I am doing a normal copy and paste, I guess. Have the skin files on my desktop and copied from there, used Active Sync to explore device and attempted to paste them into the My Documents folder in the device. Pretty straight forward, but it won't give me the option to paste. Totally bizarre.

At my office I am going to eject the SD card and try to copy the files into it via USB adapter, then put the card back into the device and see if I can move them around that way.

Since you are being so kind to help out, quick question off the subject. Is there a way to lock the red dot key so all red characters can be typed in like caps lock?

Thanks again...
Jeff
