If you go to the main page of the pdageek web page listed at the beginning of this thread - there is a program and a whole thread devoted to this issue.

I had the same issue but after 5 minutes, I was able to reload the Sprint image 11/27 without any issue and then apply AKU 3.3

Anyone try sending text messages after AKU 3.3? I see my sent messages in my text messages inbox AND sent box. I thought the person I was sending them to was just mimmicking my messages.

I couldnt find them either, but guessed correctly that you must be a member (over the years of being a PPC I must have joined like 20 forums, but still have only ever had 2 that I called home ). The files are below. I might try a vista one later, but I think ill like the sprint.

After everything was done mine went back to bootloader. Did a hard reset, both "-" keys and hit the soft reset button. No problems.

Have you tried loading the Sprint rom from November while in bootloader mode? Try doing that, then going through the 3.3 process again.

I'll give it a shot. I also did a hard reset (reloading the nov '06 rom) before the 3.3 flash. Hmmmm.... I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Ok GOT IT!!!

Ripped nd modified from xda-developers. I don't know HOW these guys fugure this stuff out.

1. Take out the SD and SIM cards
2. Opened ActiveSync and go to file, connection setting and Un-check "Allow USB Connections". Then press Ok and close ActiveSync
3. Put in bootloader mode (Power + Light + reset) which brings up the "un-backlit" screen with "Serial" at the top and v0.XX at the bottom
4. Plug in USB cable DIRECTLY from PC to 6700 (MAKE SURE NOT TO USE A USB HUB)
5. Open mtty utility / software
6. Select USB from the "Port" drop-down on the upper left corner of the dialog box and hit OK
7. Then another screen will come up. Hit enter and that will show "USB>"
8. Type "set 14 0" and hit enter
9. Hard reset again.

Couple of minor changes for clarity

1. Take out the miniSD card
2. Opened ActiveSync and go to file, connection setting and Un-check "Allow USB Connections". Then press Ok and close ActiveSync
3. Put in bootloader mode (hold power + voice memo, and press reset) which brings up the "un-backlit" screen with "Serial" at the top and v0.XX at the bottom
4. Plug in USB cable DIRECTLY from PC to 6700 (MAKE SURE NOT TO USE A USB HUB)
5. Open mtty utility / software
6. Select USB from the "Port" drop-down on the upper left corner of the dialog box and hit OK
7. Then another screen will come up. Hit enter and that will show "USB>"
8. Type "set 14 0" and hit enter
9. Hard reset again. (hold both "-" buttons and press reset button)

Jking - on a place everyone downloads software they shouldn't. I would NOT recommend this app though.

Really? I heard nothing wrong with it. Any reason why you do not reccommend it?

Just took a spin thru both threads on ppcgeeks. Looks like the storage card not being recognized after soft reset (in some devices, including mine) is the only really major unresolved issue. Too bad .netCF seems to be needed to avoid various problems.

Excuse me for asking what is probably a total noobie question, but I've downloaded AKU3.3 to my computer, but how the heck to I get it to flash to my xv6700? I can't find any thread explaining this in this forum or any of the other forums that have 6700 discussion threads.
