Very annoying problem

Last week I got a PPC6700 to replace my old one because my speaker stopped working. The old one was one of the original - I got in Sep/Oct 05 - and the bluetooth basically decided when it wanted to connect and turn off on its own.
The bluetooth doesn't turn off on the new phone, but I do have a problem with the backlight. The backlight setting wants to be set at 5 or 10 (I can't remember) seconds regardless of what I actually want it to be. It is great for the battery, but what about the fact that I don't want it to be that short? Can someone tell me if this is normal and what the fix is for this? Thanks.

It's a common issue and there is a fix. Search for "backlight settings" in this forum.

I installed PHM and cannot find it on the PPC. Can someone tell me how to do this or point me to an editor that will work? Thanks.

when you say you intsalled it on your PC, did it every actually install to the 6700? Check in Add/Remove Programs in Activesync to see if it is on your phone.
