It's a new tethering app that's getting high marks from users there. I don't tether so I'm not sure what it may offer, but I thought someone here might want to check it out.
If this is old news, forgive me
EDIT: This is for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux via both BT and USB. The user manual is very well-written (a good sign to me).

Reason: Misspelled "tethering" in title.

Thanks for the info, but I do not see the advantage of this for the 6700. The 6700 is one of the few phones that will do it out of the box (with a little work) and not be detected as tethering. This program seems to be for those that are not capable of tethering unless you add an outside app?? Or, I could be speaking out of the side of my mouth???
The advantage is that it works better than the included app. WModem is so unreliable that I have to wonder if HTC made it that way on purpose to discourage tethering. WModem hangs or disconnects for me at least once an hour, sometimes causing the entire phone to freeze and require a soft boot. I have been running USB Modem since last night and it has not frozen at all, even after being on for over 14 hours. Also, I have gotten higher torrent speeds with it than with WModem. The latency seems to be reduced as well.
I've had NO problem with WModem, using it on multiple computers for extended periods of time. My only complaint is that with teathering, I've never been able to get over 1mbps. Not sure if it's a limit of the phone or the software, but I'd only pay for a better connection manager if it lifted this limit.
