Exchanged my phone for a new one.. Need help.

Ok my joy stick got screwy with my old phone and was jammed and kept pressing down by its self.. so i went to sprint and gave me a new phone..

on this new phone it looks like its a newer version.. there is a Device Lock option on the today screen which wasnt there before and a battery icon on the bar...(no clock on today screen though)

I dont like how they took off the clock on the top bar.. i know there is an option to make the bar appear when in a different window.. but its not what i want.. i want it to be there at all times..

Is there a way to keep the Clock on the top bar at all time even on the today screen?

I did a search and found no answer.. Thank you

Try this:

Start -> Settings -> System tab - > Clock & Alarms

Go to the More tab and there should be a checkbox for "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs." That should do it.

This stupid Sprint program - PT_RemoveHTCBatteryICON_Apache_206300.sa.CAB - removes the clock from the today title bar. I removed that cab from my extended ROM config.txt and hard reset the thing. I installed AKU 2.2 while I was at it, and really don't want to go back, so I can't test this, but:

The registry key the cab modifies is [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock" (dword)

It sets it to zero. You may be able to set it to 1 to put the clock back. If that key isn't there, just add it. Don't know if this will work or not...

Please make sure you follow these directions. This is exactly what you are needing. Going to the more tab at the bottom of clock & alarms gives you the option to enable and disable displaying the clock on all screens at the top.

Not on Sprint. See my post above. I am curious if the registry entry is the only thing keeping the clock off or if there is something else. That cab also alters - [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power]
"ShowIcon" (dword) to zero as well. I think this removes the power icon that would normally be on the bottom of the today screen.
