Has anyone had any issues with power settings changing randomly? Occasionally my backlight and brightness settings are reconfigured with no user input. I have not yet noticed a pattern to when this behavior occurs.

Try searching for backlight. There are a few threads out there that deal with this. As far as I know, some hacks work for others while some don't.
