Screen's color faded

Hi all! I joined this forum not too long ago and just got my new PPC-6700 pda phone. I have a little problem though. The first thing I did when I got it was to charge it for 24hrs as instructed from the Sprint shipping label. When it was completely charged, I was testing out its features and all was going well when all of a sudden, the screen's color faded. I wasn't sure if it had to do with the battery or if it was a hardware issue. When I mean faded, it's more like when you first install a new OS onto a desktop without adjusting the color properties.

I hope I was clear, but if I wasn't, I'll try to explain further.

TIA.

There are settings that automatically adjust the brightness down when the phone is on battery for a specific length of time. Go to start menu > Settings > System > Backlight to change the settings. - sheureka

Hi sheureka and thanks for the quick response. I'm not sure if something is wrong with my pda phone but the power's @ 90% right now and the screen's colors looks shot. I'm not sure which settings I should mess with on the phone to fix this.

What happens when you plug it in? If it gets bright again then it's the backlight settings. If it doesn't there's a problem with the phone. And FYI the battery goes down in steps of 10 so if you use the phone at all it goes down to 90%. - sheureka

Oh no. There is a problem with the phone. The screen's still faded even after plugging in the power adapter.

Did you look at the setting? Is it all the way up at brightest? - sheureka

I played around the settings with the brightness, but it's still the same. I believe there's a problem with the screen.

This is the same screen I see when I first plugged in the power adapter to charge the phone. Somehow the color settings are messed up on this phone.
