GPSInfo: Working Version or Replacement

This software is listed in the "don't work" sticky at the top of the forum.

Has anyone found a version that does work on the XV/PPC6700 units?

GlobalSat doesn't seem to have any newer versions listed.

Any suitable replacements out there?

Tia,

Bob Duckworth

This (year old) thread suggests someone got it working on a ppc6700, might get you a lead.

GPS Info working on my ppc6700

Bob, I bought a GlobalSat bt-359 a couple months ago with INav, and installed both, both work fine.
However, I did hack my reg to allow gps settings to appear in Start/Settings/Connections and checked 'Manage GPS automatically', I found the hack on this forum.

Also, GPSInfo 'About' option reports 'GPS Info Ver: S-PPC-07-0511291'

The GPSInfo program I have came with my bt-359 on cd.

Thanks, I saw that in the forum and D/L'ed the versions offered thre. No joy.

Several requests for WM 5 capable GPSInfo software in the forums without a response from USGLOBALSAT.

Thanks,

Thanks. I believe that this is the GPS hardware I have as well.

GPSInfo installs fine but simply will not start on the PPC thus, I have no info version to share. I've tried installing to the main memory and the card and no joy.

I just want to turn the WAAS services on. The rest is just window dressing.

Thanks,

Bob Duckworth
