is there a thumbpad hack app?

Hi everyone, I just picked up my 6700 and other than the fact it's buggy and slow, I love it. I'm reading a lot of the threads here and you guys have a lot of good info to make this device better.

I used to be a blackberry user and like the fact that the thumbpad had the numbers organized in the standard format. Now with this thumbpad, I have to press the red dot twice and punch in the number in with the keys along the top...
IS THERE AN APP/HACK THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO MODIFY THE NUMBERS?

thanks in advance!

As an aside, you know that while in phone mode/screen you dont have to press the red dot before hitting the numbers right?
