Right on for at least getting it on your storage card and only having the phone for 2 days No sarcasm, just happy to see someone playing around

Open up your File Explorer inside "Programs" and then navigate to your Storage Card. Once there, tap on the cab and off she'll go. Choose where you want to install and voila.

If it is something that is going on your today screen or will run in the background to connect to the Internet then make sure you install in main memory, if not then you can install the storage card.

Also, if you have NET Compact Framework 2.0 installed on your pocket pc you can edit the registry and move most of the files to your storage card to save some memory. I believe net 2.0 sp1 does the same, but I haven't tried it.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

Added the option to install the global assembly
cache to the storage card.

Do you know if this is any different than just installing it directly to the storage card? I have always installed it directly to the card without any problems.

When installing them to the card instead of the phone do I just install them like normal but when it comes on my phone choose to install it to Storage device?

Or do I put a cab file on my storage card? Will I have to manually load the program everytime?

If the program you've downloaded is a cab file, you will need to transfer them to the PPC. You can place the cab in main or storage memory. When you tap on it to install it will then ask you to save in storage or main.

If it's an exe file you launch it on your computer and it will automatically transfer the cab file to your PPC and install. It will ask you where you want to install it, then install and delete the cab file automatically.

One more question

I have phoneAlarm and I don't see an option to turn on an alarm if I want to take a nap or something and wake up to an alarm

Am I dumb?

pA doesn't do alarms. You can use the native alarm clock (sometimes flaky) or take a look at this thread:

http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...ht=alarm+clock

I've used SPB Time and it works really well.

I have always installed it directly the the card as well, but I believe it ends up on windows when first used.

I found the files in my windows directory and followed this hack to move them to the storage card and save approximately 1.4mb.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...rch+today+plug

But again, the registry edit might not be necessary with sp1
