FIXED - Problems seeing Google Maps on Map4PDA 1.4.6 - FIXED

I'm using Map4PDA version 1.4.6 on my XV6700, with the ROM update. I also have the CF 2.0 SP1 installed to my storage card. The install seemed to work fine, and the app starts and runs, but I am not able to see any map data. The program connects to EVDO and loads tiles, but all I see are black lines and circles on a white screen.

I am not using a GPS unit. Didn't see any mention of this problem with a search? Any ideas? Thanks!

EDIT 11/17 - no longer a problem, see fourth post below.

I did some more searching around and installed Virtual Earth - it worked flawlessly on the first try and seems to have the same type of functionality as Map4PDA. I like it better than the Java VM-based Google Maps I used with the old ROM. Worth a look for anyone experiencing my issue with Map4PDA.

I've asked the developer for help because I'd like to compare the two programs - will reply back if I get an answer.

Fixed!

The developer got back to me very quickly and told me the problem has been fixed in the 1.4.7 release. You can get it here:

http://www.map4pda.com/download.1.4.htm

Works very well! I'll continue to use both this program and Virtual Earth. Thanks to Philippe for his fast reply.

I thought the developer was going to fix the problem with the extended ROM being seen as the storage card? Someone had mentioned that they emailed him and you would be able to choose "Main Memory", "Extended ROM" or "Storage Card". It still just says "storage card" under cache settings????

He said a few weeks, so probably won't show up until a few releases later.

I've since disabled the extended ROM. Just too much of a hassle, with other programs too.
