aadp bluetooth headset - make phone audibly ring in addition to headset?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to see if this is possible...

Basically, i have an A2DP bluetooth headset, and it always seems to pick up all the sounds from the 6700. I can answer calls just fine, but the problem is that this headset has its own notification separate from the phone when someone does call, and sometimes I'd like to be able to hear the custom ringtone so I don't have to ask who is calling.

What happens currently is that the phone will always vibrate when the headset is paired, but I can never get it to emit any sounds. The only thing that can possibly solve it is to delete the pairing and re-pair it without the wireless stereo option. However, this does not allow me to listen to music through the headset.

Is there any possible fiddling with the registry that could modify the phone's behavior while paired with the stereo headset?

thanks in advance!

I was wondering the same thing.

I finally got bluetooth this week, so I'm a newbie. I installed the A2DP hack and picked up a Motorola HT820, and I love it (I'll probably switch to the iPhono Mini, though).

My only problem is that when I'm not wearing the headset, I don't hear the phone ring.

I set the phone to vibrate as well, which helps a little. But is there some kind of setting or workaround so the ringer will still emit from the handset?

Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere - I tried a few searches with no luck.

Never mind

I figured it out: Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Devices -> Motorola HT820 -> uncheck "Wireless Stereo" and hit Save. Check it again when wearing the headset.

I also figured out how to create a shortcut to the BT settings, by copying & pasting:

23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1

into a Notepad file, saving it as Bluetooth.lnk, and dropping it into the XV6700 Windows Start Menu.
