Why isn't there a way to turn off the new email message balloons that interrupt your work/chat? I have found no results on this site yet that are relevant to the balloon pops specifically for this issue. Nothing is more annoying than trying to quickly respond to an emergency chat message when some popup interrupts my typing to allert me of some viagra or meds that I should buy. every time this happens I just wanna throw my phone... if you help me out with this one I will forever be debted.
I have PZMenu for Profiles on the phone, I just turn off the notification on screen, and only get the beep or flash or vibrate, no message! It has a demo but to use for a while it is 10$ it is REALLY worth it!

I may have to resort looking into that because this is pretty annoying. Even if you hit Dismiss on the notification, it will continue to alert you every minute until you surrender and view the email. It's like the mafia created this device and they are demanding that you read their emails NOW or be plagued forever. Having access to any POP3 email further adds pain as there's more frequency of junk emails every few minutes... especially if you check business emails on your device.
btw... without any 3rd party software installed, you can already see instant notifications for unread emails on the Today screen. This popup needs to be an option.. seriously. NO email is that important when I'm already doing chat via messenger with business and family.
yes it solves the annoyance.. instead of a huge popup for the elderly it makes a sound (because I opted for that) along with a tiny envelope icon at the top right (system tray)
What I'm primarily interested in is preventing it from showing in the "notification" area in the lower left part of the today screen. Every time I get an email the Calendar link turns into a Notification link just to tell me I've received an email.
This wouldn't be so bad, but the same thing happens when I receive a voicemail. I'd rather only be notified when a voicemail (or text message) comes through....
