I cannot sem to run any third party applications on my PPC-6700. Whenever I try to run emulators or any .exe not made by Microsoft I get an error message. "The file ' ' cannot be opened. Either it is not a signed certificate, or one of its trusted components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file." The only program I had been using on my phone was Slingbox. It worked up until about 2 weeks ago. I did a hard reset on my phone because i had a problem with it freezing. I went to reinstall Slingbox and kept getting that error message.

Yesterday I did the ROM update from home in hopes it was just a security glitch. However, it did not fix the problem. I tried using total commander and just installing the necessary .cabs and leaving out the junkware. This did not work either. Is there any way to bypass or turn off the security for signed certificates?

**This happens with all .exe files that I try to run or install, not just Slingbox.

Are the programs you're having issues with installed on an SD Card

I tried running/installing them from the phone memory and from a memory card. Same thing happened on both.

Its a Sandisk miniSD 2gb card if that makes any difference.

I was going to say it sounds like you forgot a cab or two to install, but you said it was doing it before you unlocked the ROM and installed only the necessary items...

Try installing another third-party program (pick one, any one...) and see if that works. If not. Try another hard reset.
