on my xv6700. Purchased it and got an email with the license code but everytime I enter it I would get an error saying its no a valid one. I can't go anywhere on my phone without entering a correct code. I tried to hit the register later everytime I do a soft reset but before I can get to anywhere it asks for the license code. I'm stumped! Will a hard reset fix this problem but at the same time when I sync it back to my computer will all my contacts and programs get put back on my phone? Sorry for the noob post but this is my 2nd day of owning this phone. THANKS!
You can do a hard reset. The next time you sync, it will come up as a new partnership. At that point all of your contacts from outlook will go back in...as for the software. If you purchased any thing that did not come on the phone (ex. wisbar) then those you will have to manually install again
Make sure the Owner Information you gave Wisbar when you purchased the software is the same Owner Information (under Settings/Personal/Owner Information) on your PDA. The spelling, capitalization and punctuation have to be identical. They generate the codes based on that information.
As for now, I would just uninstall it. Also...are you sure you're marking the correct version (there is an option for a WisBar Lite registration code and WisBar Advanced 2 Registration Code). You will see it right above where you enter in the code.

I'm not sure if I 100% follow. If you follow the link in my previous post it will take you to the download section for WisBar Advanced (lets forget about the 2 for right now...sorry I brought that up ).
Which download did you do? The exe so it installs on your PC and then you perform an ActiveSync to install? Or, did you download the WM5 CAB and transfer the CAB file over to your device and install it from there?

I wasn't too sure if you actually wanted to do that or not. I troubleshoot things (mostly computers and servers, etc) on a daily basis and I never just reformat anything right off the bat. Of course, this may be a little easier (especially if you don't have too many programs installed).
I hope that hard reset works. Let us know!
