I.Trek M3 Bluetooth GPS with iGuidance 3.0

Hey guys i have the i.Trek M3 and iGuidance 3.0 software. I am having trouble getting this setup to work. The documentation states that the bluetooth runs on com 5 with a baud of 38400. The updated WM5.0 wants to control your GPS and does not have that baud. The gps pairs fine and connects but after that i can not get it to transmit and gps data? Can anyone help me out im up for any ideas at this point, Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same setup and had a nightmare setting it up at first. Since then, it's been great.

You have to download the iguidance update for WM5 - the one on the CD won't allow you to pick a port that Iguidance will accept. Download it from the website, then load iguidance and take note of the ports that will work. When you connect your device, then pick the first of those ports that's not already taken.

I select the baud rate from within the iguidance software so that should not be a problem once it sees the port. Basically, once you have the driver update - you'll be set. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work with no access to my GPS but I will try to help further.

To check the port and baud rate that iguidance is sampling, use "tools", "gps options".
