Question SD Card - Settings & Contacts

Is there a way to keep all your settings and contacts using the SD card? I mean after doing a hard reset can you make it so you can re-apply your setting and files from the SD card?

Sorry if this is a lame question but I'm totally n00b to the PDA/PPC world.

Also, if you have a 6700 I assume you have a PC. Make sure to sync Outlook through ActiveSync before you hard reset. When you reset, sync again. You can save your specific app settings if you (know the file name and) drill down, copy, and paste to your PC, then back again after the reset.

I wouldn't trust any freeware (non-supported) backup programs, personally.

SBP Backup allows you to make a number of free backups before the trial ends (I believe it's five freebies). That might be able to last you quite a while, depending on how often you'd like to back up. The program is well worth the money, BTW.

Are you trying to sync your 6700 with another PC other than the first once you set up? Do you have a server source added in there that you sync with (i.e. Exchange)?
