Pics: Seidio Rubberized Case (PPC6700 with black battery door)

Overall this case fits and functions just like the Crystal Case, so not doing a full review of it. It fits the same, although the material has some.. grippiness to it. It isn't sticky like full blown rubber is, but it definitely makes the phone easier to grip.

Here's some pics:

Can be found here:
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=463
(You can add on a black battery door for $5)

got the crystal case but prefer the look of the rubberized one but one question.

with the crystal case, do you think I can attach a clip to it? Is it really rubber or more like plastic? With the crystal one I have succesfully attached a clip to it and it works very well, I was wondering if I could do the same with the rubberized one? Is the material hard or does it bend or will it bend if I stikc a clip onto it, I was thinking of putting it on the back of the case right above the battery cover door.Do you guys with the rubberized case think that will work?

The black battery cover helps out a lot. Since I'm switching out for a Treo 700Wx, it doesn't really matter to me anymore, but is the coverage on the lower left portion of the phone on the bottom the same as the orginal crystal case, or did they extend it some to better protect that area.

I am buying the crystal case for my new Treo though. I think its a shame that they charge fifty bucks more for the 700wx and you get neither a slip case or desktop cradle. Cheap bastages.

There's nothing over the screen right? That's what it looks like on the picture, but just wanted to check. Thanks,

Right, these cases do not cover the screen. They are meant to protect the 6700 as much as possible while retaining 100% functionality. Full keyboard and screen access.

black rubberized Seidio scratches VERY easily!!!

One thing I've noticed with my black rubberized Seidio case is that it is very prone to scratching.

I carry my black rubber encased 6700 in the Seidio two tone leather case, and as you can see from the pictures, the inside stitching of the leather case is slowly scratching up the left edge of my black rubberized case.

I like the black finish, but maybe the crystal finish doesn't scratch as easily?

Yeah I know it is just a case ... it is doing it's job protecting the phone ... but I still want it to look nice!! Come on Seidio!!

They are making a special holster to fit the rubberized and crystal cases. This way we can put it on our belts.

Wow it does look like your's is getting a bit scratched up. Mine is showing a little signs of use, but nothing major, just some very very minor scratches. I think it is just difficult to get that soft leather feel without it being prone to such. My clear crystal case still doesn't have anything close to a scratch yet.

I had a different issue, but I emailed them on Sept 21st. I still have no reply, so I emailed them again tonight. I like the black case myself.

I hope this company returns emails, that's really bad news if they aren't interested in serving their customers.

I'm sure they'll reply here, but I'd suggest giving them a call first thing tomorrow. Their number is on the website.

Got mine and I love it!

I've had mire for about 3 weeks now and it's worked flawlessly. Very nice-looking, too! the only thing I need to do is get a pack of BLACK e-grips so I can put one on the battery door to keep the phone from sliding around..

Flaw in the rubberized cover?

If you look at the photo of the rubberized cover, you can see that the corner tab is not formed correctly. I noticed this on mine when I received it but didn't contact Seidio because it still held the cover in place (barely).

But, now that I've received my holster, the retainer clip on the holster wants to pry the cover off when inserting the phone and this tab will not hold.

The other photo of the crystal cover shows a much better tab on the corner.

David of Siedio,
If you are monitoring this thread please let us know your thoughts on this. It won't do me any good to get a replacement if it has the same flaw.

Thanks,
Kenton

You're absolutely right. I apologize for the lack of reply. If you would be kind enough to email me directly at the address below exactly which department you wrote to, it would help to stop this from happening again. Please also give me a way to contact you so that I can personally help you resolve your problem.
