I can see there is a slight space where the extendid battery fits if you have that, or on the inside corner i guess, but I have not had any issues that needed any kinda tape.

I have been using the extendid fully closed version with a cover for the flying SD, and have not experienced and breaks.

I was afraid to take off at first, but if you do it carefully it should be OK.

I am surprised actually that it hasn't broken yet as I have had it for almost 3 months now and remove the battery side to get to the card around once a week.

I remember reading that the "covered mem slot" version is the newer one...

I forgot 2 say I am using the crystal clear case and it makes my unit feel very different.
I now treat&feel it like I'm holding cinderellas glass slipper, lol.

I got mine with the swivel holster. Im on the third replacement as the detents that hold the phone in position break ant let the phone flop around. The one they just sent me didnt last a month!! I'm done with Seidio!

Update:

Still have the case, it is not broken and it is in great shape still...

I have removed it a few times and I have yet to damage it... (lucky for me as I typically break everything)

My holster lost it's detents in less than 3 months. My case clips broke the first month, and the case didnt last 6 months, it broke after the second time it was dropped.

I bought a crystal case from Seidio for my 700wx. I sent the first one back because it wouldnt stay clipped together and the second one suffered from the same problem. I never complained and just threw it aside and haven't used it since my initial useage. My swivel clip that goes with the crystal case is also useless in this case.

I bought some other stuff from them as well. I bought a replacement battery cover which now looks horrible (there's a huge circle in the middle of it where the paint has come off) and I bought the 2400mah extended battery, which (to my surprise) does hold a little bit more charge than the stock Palm battery (although not much to be jumping up and down about). I bought some screen protectors from them, they were total crap. So much so, that I ended up buying the cheap Palm screen covers and just one has served me well since I bought it. The last thing I bought was a pen/stylus 3-pack combo. It worked well until the stylus point broke. I haven't bothered putting a replacement one in and just went with the stock Palm stylus.

Overall, I don't think I'll buy from Seidio ever again. They make what looks on the surface to be awesome products but they break down if you try to do more than put your phone in it and take a picture.

I must be a special case.

Because my case has served me quite well thus far.

Mind you, I am not one to remove the case very often or drop my phone
