How to make this picture a .tsk?

I want a black and white version of this picture to be my today background (and also work in landscape mode). If I just set that picture as my today screen, its not formated right. I am looking for my today theme to match my dialer skin here:

Thanks for your help! I think others might be interested in this as well...

Just messed around with that program a bit, I couldn't even figure out how to save my .tsk file! Its a little more than I need, I just need that picture (I use wisbar for the rest).

Just put it on your phone and go to My Pictures and choose to save as today pic. It will then allow you to crop it for the screen. Now you are all set. You don't even need it as a .tsk.

Though it's hard to figure out, that program listed above is great once you do! I was able to fix my existing today screen background (Starry Night - A painting by Vangogh) to add a "widescreen" version for use in landscape mode. You can have 2 completely differenct pictures as well.

The key to that program is to initially format it right for your PPC (IE QVGA, Landscape and Normal). Then you have to set up 4 picture profiles if you're doing both Landscape and Vertical - 2 for each to account for the transparency when you use the start button.

Only after you have the right amount of pic profiles set up (2 per setting) will it let you save. Though it's hard to use, it's a great program for freeware!

I do that and the only adjustment I can make it choosing which part of the picture I want centered. The picture then works in landscape mode, but not upright. Was your experience different?

Resize the picture to something square. Say 320 x 320.

That is how I usually cover both Landscape and Portrait screen types.
