Callwave enhanced voicemail and screening for FREE

My telco guy told me about this and I just started using it tonight. Really fantastic service that is completely free. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever.

Doesn't work with Sprint/Nextel...

Unfortunately, we currently do not support this service on the Sprint or Nextel phone networks, including MVNOs that use these networks (e.g. Virgin Mobile), and certain prepaid phone networks, because of the fees they charge customers to forward calls, and/or limitations in the types of forwarding they offer.

If this situation changes, we will let you know via email.

Damn. It's just what I've been looking for. I guess I'll have to wait 'til they email me to let me know it works for sprint. Did anyone else hear of this or may have any idea when they'll be providing it for sprint?

All the sprint people here MUST go to their website and email them (find it under one of the help button, one asks for a password and such, the other doesn't) and ask when it will be available for sprint. This service would be GREATE. I've used it before with sanyos phones (the phone comes with that ability build in) and it's the best thing for cell phones ever. DO it people.

Ironically it did not work for me. Talked to tech support (VERY nice guy and no hold time). He said its predicated upon # of rings. In my house that # of rings seems to change. Couple that with the syncing data and I think it confuses their switches. He did say they have lots of verizon customers with this phone using it with no problems. Oh well bummer.

Pretty tight. I think you have to watch out of for minute consumtion though. If I get it right, effectively every call you ignore turns into a second call. In addition if you are on a service like Verizon where in network calls are free (no minutes used) you could get unexpectantly wacked using this service (I think?).

Voice Message Icon won't go off!!

I just discovered something over the weekend using this call wave service, I had quite a few voicemail messages on my phone that even after listening to them and clearing them off, the VM notification at the top and bottom of my Today Screen WON'T GO AWAY!

Now I have the message icon telling me I have 5 VMs (which is not true); has anybody else experienced this? Does it have to do with the call wave and how do I get rid of this bug?

Same here i used to use it with my sanyo phones also great feature, dont have to dial a voicemail to get messages and waste time just to hear mom say call me back(grrr) i sent them a email too, hopefully they will get it working soon...
