incoming calls/won't vibrate or ring

I am missing calls. All of a sudden my xv6700 won't vibrate. That's how I have it set and when I tried to have it ring it won't. I did a soft reset and still the same. Any ideas?

Do you have PhotoContacts Pro installed? If so, you have to adjust the settings under 'Ringers' I believe. Also, the vibrate on this phone tends to be dysfunctional! I have the same problem. When I give the phone a good shake, it wakes it up... Very weird!

Weird, as mine started not ringing or vibrating a few days ago. I've had my phone for about 6 months and never had this problem before. Tonight I finally took my battery out and let it stay off for about 30 seconds to a minute. When I brought it back up it now rings and vibrates again.

Here is what I’ve done recently. Has anyone else with the problem done any of the same things recently?

1 - I recently bought one of those cheap non-oem batteries off ebay. I have only used it a few times. It seems to work fine but you never know.
2 – I just recently did a manual PRI update.
3 – I just recently did the EVDO ring through hack.
4 - My phone usually doesn't get down below 30% battery but recently I have let it slip to 10% before I was able to recharge. Maybe it was some sort of energy savings mode that stuck.

I am having the same problem and I have one of those cheap non-oem ebay batteries. It was working fine yesterday and then this morning, no vibrations. Not sure if it is the battery, since I have the stock battery at home and won't be there until later today.

I have the stock battery. The only way to get it to work is play with the keyboard and make sure it is closed perfectly. Then it works.

I've been having similar problems with my phone. I don't usually set it to vibrate, but it often just doesn't ring when a call comes in. Sometimes people will call me and the phone just does nothing, sometimes it doesn't even tell me I have a voicemail either. Other times it will display the "Incoming Call" dialog but not ring, yet other times it will just replace the label over the left 'soft' button with "Call Status" and not let me answer the phone or anything. This is really bad, because I keep missing calls.

Also, the alarm and appointment reminders don't always make noise when they're supposed to, and then other times they won't stop no matter how many times I dismiss them. Do other people have these problems, or do I just have an awful phone?

This is all part of the problem I originally mentioned above. I have talked to several techs who have no answers. They put me through to Audiovox but I wait 30 to 40 minutes and still no tech support so I hang up. If anyone has the answer, please help. I miss calls everyday.

That's a ton of more problems that i haven't encountered yet, and hopefully don't. Might want to visit your Sprint store and that one or try a hard reset

Wink Got my XV6700 to vibrate

This is gonna sound stupid, but it worked.
I went to "Phone settings", clicked on "Vibrate", then quickly:
I held my PDAPhone in my right hand with display facing my Palm and slapped it rather hard on it's back into my left hand while it was still in the ring mode and it started vibrating!!
I checked it after that and the vibrate mode is now working again. Rather quirky and ridiculous, but it worked. Give it a try. I think the little vibrating mechanism was just stuck and needed a little help.
