Question how do I send/recieve wirelessly & send immediately with "Outlook email" account??

Hello all. I just got a PPC-6700 and I have some questions that I tried to find the answers to in the forum, but was not successful.

Currently, I have only one POP email account which I have set up in Outlook on my PC. It appears that the Outlook Email on my PPC ONLY syncs when I use ActiveSync from the cradle. Why can't I send/receive from this "account" on my PPC remotely?

If the above is correct, then I have to set up a separate email account on my PPC in order for me to send/receive emails remotely. As such, I have two email accounts on my PPC, both of which relate to the same POP account. Doesn't seem right to me.

I have set up a POP email account on my ppc, but the email stays in my outbox when I select "send". However, when I select "send/receive", everthing works fine. Is this the way it works, or do I have to do something else with the set up?

I ideally I want ONE email account on my PPC instead of having the same messages in my inbox on two accounts.

I really need some help here. Thanks!

That's pretty much the way it works.
You have an account for your synched outlook mail and a seperate account for your Sprint email for the ppc.

With Pocket Outlook you have a different account (that must be checked seperately) for each mail account you have.

On mine I have accounts for Outlook sync, hotmail, SprintPCS, and two other pop accounts. I only have to check my Sprintpcs mail though because all other (except hotmail) accounts forward to it.

Pocket Outlook also doesn't send mail automatically, you need to hit send/receive unless you have it set up to automatically check for mail every x minutes.

Everything Tony has told you is correct. Some additional information is that if you want to send/receive wirelessly with the "Outlook email" account, you need to get a "hosted" exchange server account. We have a large thread on hosted exchange accounts, simply search for "hosted exchange" if you would like more information on that. You can, however, disable the syncing of the "Outlook email" account in the Activesync preferences and while the account will remain (you cannot delete it), it will be blank.

Thank you for your help.

I can see an advantage to sync'ing with my Outlook and keeping it on the PPC.
