data not restored when I restore pim.vol file after ROM upgrade

Ok I just upgraded the ROM on my Alltel 6700. I backed up the PIM.VOL before I upgraded...now when I copy it back into place (after renaming the original) I soft reset and when hit contacts it doesnt do a dang thing.

Any suggestions?

If this info is elswhere I couldnt find it...flame me not

before soft reseting, power off the device for a couple of minutes. Then try it. The info may still be in RAM waiting to be flushed to the ROM, hence why you loose it.

if that happens to be the problem, turning flight mode on and off should force the write to ROM so you wouldn't have to just sit there and wait

Ok thanx guys, you rule, heres what I did

Moved old PIM into place went into flight mode and came back out, didnt work, so powered down and let it sit for a few seconds, didnt work.

What worked:

Moved File
Flight Mode
Powered Down
Soft Reset

Contacts back up and running....thanx a ton!
