phone freezes for 30 seconds on today screen after soft reset

Whenever I soft reset, after the start up (i.e. the sprint logo comes on and then the windows logo) I press the start button (to go to a program) and the phone just freezes for like 30 seconds (now, keep in mind that after the phone unfreezes I can pretty much use it with out delay of any kind)

Any ideas?

thanx all

What registry changes have you done?

I was having this same problem until a couple days ago and the only thing I changed was a few settings in Tweaks2K2 and now it is not doing it any more.

you probably have a program on your today screen, like Skype which can have a delay like that.

If it is skype, do a search for RunSkype.exe and use that as your icon.

If it is a program, do a search for a compression program on here.

Once you compress the exe and dll your start time should improve.

No idea.

Look at what is on your today screen, if the .exe is larger than 1.5mb there's your problem

certain program shortcut icons will do this... skype, tiger woods golf, etc.

Make a note of which icons are in your recently run programs on the start menu

try this... run word, excel, powerpoint and file explorer so that these programs replace the last run programs in the start menu.

soft reset... i am willing to bet when your 6700 loads up, you will no longer have the delay (well unless you have that program load up as a favorite on your start menu). If you dont get a delay... run each of those programs and soft reset after each to see which one (or more) are giving you the delays...

FYI, if you run Wisbar Advance, you wont run into this problem.
