how do i tell if my 6700 is the latest version??

my 6700 was acting up, eventually(yesterday), It wouldn't turn on at all. No water, no drop, just stopped working. So I bring it to sprint, I walk out with a new version with a bunch of programs I dont remember from mine. How do I identify if its the latest version, and how much is it gonna suck finding all my old stuff since I havent backed it up in a few months.

insurance came in handy

Different ROM version numbers for different carriers. May well be the same code, but different version numbers. Obviously the code could vary as well.
