cannot setup coonection between 6700 and SE Akono 660 BT headset

Hello everyone. Newbie here.

I've been trying to set up a bluetooth connection between the Sony Ericsson Akono-660 headset with my NEW Sprint PPC-6700. So far, no luck. I've been trying to search the forum and the web for info, but I found nothing.

Are the two incompatible or am I doing something wrong?

Any help is appreaciated!

Most likely, you don't have BT turned on in the 6700, or you aren't following the pairing instructions exactly and to the letter. Typically, you set the headset into a "discoverable" mode, then discover the device with the 6700. Then you'd enter a passkey, which is typically "0000" or "1234" for headsets, and then you're done.

For pairing BT devices, product manuals are much more efficient tools than forums unless there's a real incompatability that others know about. Since I've used the 6700 with a Sony Ericsson HBH-300 (roughly the same generation as the 660), my first thought would be that it's not a hardware incompatability.

Thanks Haus.

I just wanted a confirmation that it works. I'll just have to try to figure it out. I thought I was doing something wrong. I've never had any problems connecting bluetooth to anything until now.

Thanks again!
