low memory, poor recognition w/ VC, BT headset wont pickup calls

Hi,

I just got my 6700 from Verizon a few days ago. I had problems with ActiveSync but was instructed to get 4.2. That's better. But I still have thee problems.

One, from time to time, the phone slows down to a crawl, like there is no memory. When I look at memory, there is very little available, (Programs - 49.42 total, 47.38 in use, 2.04 available) unlike my old Samsung i700. I'll close out all the programs (after a long wait) and it will be fine for a while. Any ideas, please Help.

Two,Voice command is lousy. I've reloaded it and it still gets names wrong all the time. Granted, I have 4000 names in outlook, but I had Voice Signal on the i700 had it worked great. Any ideas?

Three, I am having a terrible time answering the phone with the bluetooth head set. When I press the button on the head set, it does not answer the call. I have to answer the call on the phone then connect the headset. Any ideas?

Ron

1: When you click the "x" to close a program, it isn't really closed, use task manager to check and a program like Magic Button to really close programs.

2. Microsoft Voice Command it is far superior to the built in app, do you have Mic AGC on ?, noisy enviorment, etc... ?

3> Try another headset, with bluetooth on answering is easy via the headset even on my ancient Jabra BT250..

Are you trying to use voice command through your bluetooth headset? There is a known issue with that - most headsets and people's voices do not do well. Deep male voices tend to work best, but nothing else will work unless Microsoft tries to make the voice command software work better over the BT audio connection. If you speak directly into the unit (without the audio gateway on) you'll get much better recognition, or you should...
