I very new to the PPC6700 and had a issues that bug me.

1. why is the display in landscape when i pull the phone out of the holser? when my phone rings and i pull it out i have to wat for the screen to flip back so i can see it.

2. keylock is there any key lock functions? lots of times when i pull the phone out of the holster something that i dont wnt to use is open.

Thank you in advance

If you had the rom upgrade you would have a keylock program on your today screen. That would fix your problem.

are you using the stock sprint holster or an aftermarket one? I believe the group around here agrees that the landscape trigger is a small magnet in the device. If you're using an aftermarket holster w/ a magnetic closure that could be the cause.

magnets are to blame

Yep, there is a magnet in the device that turns the screen on when you switch to landscape mode. Try it, with the screen off slide the keyboard out and it will turn on. I had the same problem, the magnet in the case would trigger the internal magnet. I was able to doctor my case up by cutting the magnets out and using velcro instead. Still looks good from the outside now and it seems to work well.
