ActiveSync recognizes 6700 but says there are issues

I just bought a 6700 fro mVerizon. I had a Samsung i700 before. I have having a terrible time wit hthe 6700 and ActiveSync. I first connected the 6700 to my computer (a Dell Inspiron 5160) becasue I was alreay using ActiveSync 4.1. Every think went fine for a few hours. Once I shut down and restarted, the phone would not Sync. It actually showed up as a network.

I also loaded MS Voice Signal. It wasn't working well either.

Yesterday evening, I did a hard reset, removed Active Sync from my computer and reloaded it from the disc. I worked well all evening even through a few restarts. This morning, it will not sync. ActiveSync reconizes the phone but says there are issues.

Now, i just looked at it to see what the issues are and it is synced.

Any ideas?

Download the latest version of Active Sync (4.2) from Microsoft - it's a lot more stable. - sheureka

Thanks.

I downloaded 4.2. The first start up it did not work. After a lengthy boot up, the phone went through the snyc process but came up with a server busy error. I tried to resync but came up with another error message. I disconnected the phone form the computer and rebooted. Once I had Outlook up and running, I reconnected the phone and it performed the sync fine.

Maybe I need more than 512 meg of ram.

We'll see.

Always connect the cradle to the computer and then put the phone in the cradle - sheureka
