Does Direct Push work with Peak/Off-Hours?

My company recently upgraded our exchange servers to 2003 sp2 and thus I can now use Direct Push. I have a Verizon XV6700 with the updated ROM. When I enable Direct Push in the comm manager everything seems to work fine. In the activesync schedule settings the default is "as items arrive" for both peak and off-hours. If I change off-hours to "manual" my new emails no longer send immediately and direct push seems flaky.

Is Peak hours with Direct Push and Off hours with manual supported?

well if you set the off peak to stop getting mail at say 5 everyday then you should be able to just open activesync whenever you please and hit the sync button to get mail...

The issue I'm having is that with Direct Push enabled setting off-hour to anything other than "as items arrive" causes outgoing messages to not send immediately.

This was not an issue prior to Direct Push as the activesync schedule using the regular "pull" method worked fine.

In activesync on the device under schedule make sure you have the option "send outgoing items immediately" checked. This will send off e-mails as soon as you hit send no matter if it's peak time or not.

I do have the "send outgoing items immediately" checked and when using direct push unless both peak and off-peak are set to "as items arrive" messages will not send immediately.

Is anyone able to use Direct Push while still specifying peak and off-hour functionality?

Works fine on mine in that config, however battery life is a disaster.

I changed my settings to reflect yours and was able to send mail during off peak hours. You may want to try blowing out the push config on the device and setting it back up if no other solutions come about.

I was able to get peak/off-hours to work with Direct Push by removing and re-adding my exchange server.
